Love your plants enough to prune them! You spent money on them so you may as well spend a little time taking care of them. Plants need to be pruned for multiple reason; health, growth, flower/fruit production just to name a few. Do a little research and make sure you have the proper tools, how your plant should be pruned and what time of year is best. With the added bonus of free, good exercise what are you waiting for... WHEN VISITING THE NURSERY BE SURE TO:
*Know your shoes may get a little dirty
*Have an idea of space size/measurement you are planting in and amount of sunlight or shade for the area. Pictures help!
If your yard was hit hard by the winter weather. Be patient! Try giving your plants a nice pruning and some fertilizer, they may surprise you!
Plants are a perishable item. While they maybe happy and healthy in the container it is up to the homeowner to love and care for them as we have in order to keep them alive and thriving. The average plant has been growing here in on our nursery for 3 years before it leaves, some for 5 and a few for 7.
